- Petit Chablis - outer areas around the town of Chablis. Tend to have higher acidity and more tart, citrus flavours.
- Chablis - Closer toward the village of Chablis. More Citurs, pear and exaggerated mineral notes.
- Chablis Premier Cru - only 15% (780ha) of Chablis vineyards have Premier Cru status. Have richer fruit profiles with lemon flavours and stronger minerality.
- Chablis Grand Cru - Just 104ha of land in the region of Chablis. The taste of these wines is highly dependent on producer.
